Starting from the stickiness of protective films, it is well known that buying protective films requires a specific stickiness, such as high stickiness of over 1000 grams or low stickiness of PE protective films such as box sealing tape, which is 30 grams or 20 grams. Please note that the stickiness of each protective film manufacturer will indicate that it was measured in a "laboratory environment, constant temperature, and humidity environment". Why write it like this?

Because different humidity and environmental temperature do have a significant impact on the viscosity of the protective film, as the adhesive used for the protective film is mainly solvent based, and the presence of water will inevitably be affected by the environment, resulting in fluctuations in viscosity. Simply put, when the weather is cold and the air is dry, the intermolecular activity of the adhesive decreases, resulting in a relative decrease in viscosity. In warm and humid spring, the viscosity will increase slightly, especially in hot summer when the adhesive viscosity will be higher. If it is a particularly humid environment, water vapor may also seep into the adhesive layer (many adhesives are water-based, which is water-soluble glue), and the viscosity will also undergo different changes.

Therefore, when using protective films, especially for large-scale film applications in industry, it is recommended to conduct multiple tests before formal production to thoroughly eliminate these external adverse factors. Only in this way can the film protection process be better and more stable, and factories can save manpower and material costs, reduce product losses caused by technical errors in film application.
